She leans forward, her tone cranky and severe, intent on breaking it down for him.
"Look-- the gods don't exist. It's just us, stuck on a piss-poor substitute for Olympus for the rest of our miserable lives." Her head is pounding, her jaw hurts, and she can't stand another second of that look he's giving her. "I was bored out of my damned mind, OK?! I needed a laugh."
She really can't stare at that completely crestfallen mug anymore, so she just wipes a hand over her face, rubbing at her temple and waiting for him to finally react.
